12-10-2023 Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 8-10

A study of Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 8-10. We learned that this world is only our temporary home. God has greater things promised for us.

A study of Hebrews chapter 11 verse 7. We looked at Noah's faith to build the boat and what took place before and after the flood. 

11-26-2023 Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 4-6

A study of Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 4-6. we looked at the life of faith for Abel and Enoch and Jesus promise to come again. 

Hebrews Chapter 11 Verse 1-3

Today we started our study of Hebrews Chapter 11, known as the hall of faith. We looked at what is means to have faith, and we looked at the creation of the heavens and the earth. 

11-5-2023 Hebrews Chapter 10 Verse 26-39

A study of Hebrews chapter 10 verse 26-39. God makes a distinction between unintentional sin and willfully sinning.

A study of Hebrews Chapter 10 Verse 1-25. Often the things God asks us to do are simple for His commands are not burdensome. However, we can overcomplicate things in our own minds. Do not neglect the simple things God asks us to do.

10-22-2023 a study of Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 16-27. The blood of Jesus issued in the new covenant. Jesus promises a judgement to come and we looked at what that means.

10-8-2023. A study looking at the difference between salvation and entering into the presence of God.

10-1-2023 a study of Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 1-15. A look at the earthly sanctuary and the heavenly sanctuary, and entering into God's presence because of Jesus perfect sacrifice.

9-24-2023 a study of Hebrews Chapter 8. A comparison of the new and old covenant, and how the new covenant is superior to the old.

9-17-2023 a study of Hebrews Chapter 7. We looked at Melchizedek and Jesus. Jesus is both High Priest and King in our lives a dual role that can only be filled by Jesus.

9-10-2023 a study of Hebrews Chapter 6 Verse 9-20. God gives us many promises in His Word, and all of God's promises are really guarantees.

5-21-2023 Hebrews Chapter 4 verse 1-11

Today we started our study through Hebrews chapter 4. We learned about Gods promise of eternal rest, God’s example and requirement of sabbath rest, and the rest promised in the life free from worry and anxiety when we seek God’s kingdom and righteousness first in our lives, and He will provide us with everything we need.

5-14-2023 Hebrews Chapter 3

Today we studied through Hebrews chapter 3. We learned that God is speaking to us every day, and it is our choice to listen to him or reject him like the Israelites did when they were in the wilderness.

4-23-2023 Hebrews Chapter 2 Verse 5-18

Today we finished our study through Hebrews chapter 2. We learned that God promises to put all things under Jesus’ authority. That when we have questions, we should always bring them to God first and He always answers us in His timing. We learned that Jesus went through suffering and testing, and He is able to help us when we are being tested.

4-16-2023 Hebrews Chapter 2 Verse 1-4

Today we continued our study through Hebrews. We learned that God gave us the message of salvation back in Genesis. We learned that we should be careful to follow the truth about Jesus and not walk away form Him.

4-9-2023 Resurrection Day

Happy resurrection day! He is risen!! We learned that Jesus in fact did rise from the dead 3 days after he was crucified, and the greatest news of all time went to the women first. That should tell you how much God values women. I hope you enjoyed a day with you family and friends.

4-2-2023 Jesus entry into Jerusalem

Today we looked at Jesus entry into Jerusalem just days before he was crucified. We looked at some of the events in Jesus’ life before and after His entry. We learned the importance of studying the whole bible. We also learned that Jesus did not come for those who think they are righteous, but for those who know they are sinners.

3-26-2023 Hebrews chapter 1 verses 4-14

Today we continued our study in the book of Hebrews. We finished chapter 1 and looked at why Jesus is superior to the angels. We also looked at what it means to be prepared to help others. We need a relationship with Jesus (time in prayer and in the word) so we can point others to Him in their time of need.

3-19-2023 Hebrews Chapter 1 verses 1-3

Today we started our study in the book of Hebrews. This is a great book that will give us a deeper look into who Jesus is. In the first three verses we learned that Jesus created everything, and nothing was created without Him. Also we learned that Jesus hold everything together. Amen

Today we learned how the bible teaches us to handle being overwhelmed.

2-26-2023 What does it mean to be a Christian part 3

Today we continued our study on what it means to be a Christian. As Christians we have a 3-fold enemy. Satan and his demons, the world, and our sinful nature. We learned who the battle is against and how it is fought. Jesus has defeated everyone of our enemies we just need to believe Jesus over the lies from the enemy.
 

2-19-2023 What does it mean to be a Christian part 2

Today we continued our study on what it means to be a Christian. We don’t want to be lukewarm Christians. Jesus has some harsh words for them, and we related that to the American Christian. God is calling us to live a life pressing into Him. A life of Gods word leading our emotions and decisions. A life of fervently looking to God in prayer for guidance on every decision we make.
 

2-12-2023 What does it mean to be a Christian

Today we started a study on what it means to be a Christian. While we can never loose our salvation, God has some very stern words for those Christians who willfully indulge in sin. That as Christians were are representatives of Jesus in our everyday lives. We are called to represent Him in truth and not minimalize or condone  the sin in our lives.

2-5-2023 Romans Chapter 16

Today we finished Romans Chapter 16, thus completing the entire book of Romans. We learned that we should remain faithful to the work that God has called each of us to do, even the small works are important to God. Paul gave us a final warning to be aware of false teachers, and the best way to identify false teachers is to study Gods word ourselves and see if what is being taught lines up with the bible.

1-29-2023 Romans Chapter 15 Verse 23-33

Today we finished our study through Romans Chapter 15. We learned that as a church we should be financially supporting other churches and ministries in need. We also learned about our personal financial giving to God and the promises He gives us.

1-22-2023 Romans Chapter 15 Verse 14-22

Today we continued our study through Romans Chapter 15. We learned that we should live our lives as an offering to God. We should live our lives not focused on ourselves but on Jesus.
With the new year upon us I would challenge each of us to spend time reading Gods word everyday this week and spend time in prayer all throughout the week.

Today we started Romans Chapter 15. We learned that God is the God of comfort and hope. We learned that Gods word is filled with promises for our lives. But if we never open God’s word to read it we will not know what those promises are.

Today we talked about what God says about depression. Depression is something we all struggle with, and we learned how God tells us to handle depression.

Today we stopped our study through Romans. We have had a very tragic loss of life this week in our community, and we looked at what does Gods word say about tragedies. Where is God in the midst of Tragedy?

11-27-2022 Romans Chapter 14

Today we studied through Romans Chapter 14. We learned that we are not to cause others to stumble, and we should have a no stumbling policy for our lives.

11-20-2022 Romans Chapter 13 Verse 8-14

We continued our study of Romans Chapter 13. We learned what it means to love our neighbor, and who is our neighbor. We also learned what it means to live a life set apart from the world, but still in the world. 

11-13-2022 Romans Chapter 13 Verse 1-7

Today we started our study in Romans Chapter 13. We learned that we are to respect the governing authority that God has put into place. What does it mean that God has put all authority in place.

11-6-2022 Romans Chapter 12 Verse 9-21

Today we finished our study in Romans Chapter 12. We learned that Love will last forever. That we truly Love God when we obey His commands. We are to love God, other believers, our neighbors, and our enemies.

Today we started our study in Romans Chapter 12. We learned about the different gifts of the spirit, and the purpose that we have those gifts is to serve others.

A study of Romans chapter 11 verse 28-36. We learned that Gods ways are higher than our ways and Gods thoughts are higher than our thoughts.

A teaching of Romans chapter 11 verse 25-27. We learned about the old covenant and the new covenant. Our need for Jesus, and how He forgives and removes our sins. Thank you Jesus for your love for us.

A study of Romans chapter 11 verse 13-24. We learned that God loves us and has grafted us into His firm foundation. When we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus is God we are saved, rescued, and set free.

A teaching of Romans Chapter 11 Verse 1-12. Our feelings can lead us away from God. Trust God at His word not your feelings  Don't let the enemy steal your joy and distract you from the work God has called you to do.

A study of Romans chapter 10 - We learned that Gods message of salvation has gone out to the whole world. That God blesses those who bless the nation of Israel. And the simplicity of the gospel if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is God you will be saved.

A study of Romans chapter 9 verse 21-33 - We learned that we serve a loving God full of mercy and longsuffering for us. God is longsuffering because it is His will that all would repent and be saved.

A study of Romans chapter 9 verse 1-16 - We learned that we serve a loving God full of mercy and longsuffering for us. We do not serve a harsh God. The world views God that way because they do not know Him.

A study of Romans chapter 8 verse 31-39 - We learned that God is for us. That we can not loose our salvation. Nothing can separate us from Jesus’ love. And we learned that the bible does NOT support the teaching of generational curses.

8-21-2022 Romans Chapter 8 Verse 18-30

A study of Romans chapter 8 verse 18-30 - We learned that God knew before the creation on the earth that he would save us by sacrificing his son for our sins. Paying a debt that we could not pay for our selves to show us His grace. God knew who would choose to receive his son long before the earth was created. He chose us, before the creation of the world, to be like his son once we received him, the process of sanctification (being set apart from sin). Also, that God has called us to a good work that he also planned long ago. And that we are justified by confessing our sin and asking for forgiveness.

A study of Romans chapter 5 verse 1-11 - We learned that God wants t to use us as ambassadors for Him. That we can point people to Jesus by the way we live our lives, and by our testimony.

A study of Romans chapter 4 -We learned that faith is believing God at His word.  We learned that being righteous with God is being in right standing with God. We learned what it means when Jesus says we can ask for anything in His name, and He will grant it to us. We were also able to see Gods proof that He forgives every sin when we repent, and God REMOVES those sins from our record, forever, because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
